About Me

🌟 Welcome to My World of Wellness! 🌟

Hey there! I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been practicing the art of bodywork since 2009, but my love affair with health and healing began when I was just ten years old!

Back in 1996, I took a detour to Lansing Community College, but let’s be real—I let the naysayers get to me, they convinced me that massage wasn’t a "real" job. So, I found myself wandering down the path of business administration. Sure, it was okay, but my heart just wasn’t in it.

Fast forward to 2008! The massage profession was gaining the respect it deserved, and I couldn’t ignore the calling any longer. In 2010, I graduated from Stautzenberger Institute, focusing on the medical side of massage, and landed a gig at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center. Though impactful, massaging parents coping with heartbreaking situations was a bit too intense for me.

Lucky for me, I was able to quickly transition to contract work with Barwis Methods Training Center, just as they were kicking off! 🎉 There, I worked with professional athletes to keep them in peak condition before and after the season, treating injuries and maintaining muscle health.

Over the years, I’ve also enjoyed providing chair massages at Health and Wellness Days for various high schools and local counties and I’ve had the privilege of working with clients facing a variety of chronic conditions, which has allowed me to refine my skills and expertise.

What makes me a success? Well, I’m all ears with Active Listening, spot-on with Attention to Detail, and I thrive on Critical Thinking and Communication. Toss in Medical Terminology and a dash of Problem Solving, and you’ve got a recipe for healing magic! 🪄

On the training front, I’ve amassed a treasure trove of techniques including Cupping, Deep Tissue, Hot and Cold Therapy, Essential Oils, Pre-Natal Techniques, Myofascial Release, Sports Techniques, Swedish, Lymphatic Drainage and Trigger Point Therapy. I’ve also dipped my toes into Ashiatsu!

When you come in for a session, I’ll assess your soft tissue condition, take a look at your joint quality of function, and range of motion, and set specific goals for your treatment. By observing how you respond, I’ll customize my techniques to ensure they’re safe, effective, and just right for you.

And hey, if you want to keep the good vibes going at home, I’ve got some great reccomendations.

Let’s embark on this journey to wellness together—I can’t wait to help you feel your best!
